Aaron Guerrero, 38, of Port Chester, was arrested around 8 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 17, after Greenwich Police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a utility police, said the Greenwich Police.
When officers arrived on the scene of the crash, they found the vehicle on the west side of North Street against the damaged pole, but no driver was in sight.
A police canine was brought to the area and was able to track Guerrero to the area of Parsonage Lane.
Once in custody, police administered a field sobriety test which he allegedly failed to perform to standard.
Guerrero was charged with DUI, evading responsibility and failure to maintain lane.
He was released on a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 2.
